A piece by piece, respawn entertainment has revealed more about the upcoming Apex Legends season. First, we have a story trailer that introduces us to new characters this season, Seer. Then, we have a gameplay trailer that shows off the new raging LMG and some changes come to the end of the world. Today, we get character trailers for Seer, which finally revealed the character kit in full.
Like all the trailers of the character coming before, this one gave us a very close look to the ability of new characters. Seer, it looks like, is a legend for the players who hope they can use Wallhacks but the competitive spirit stop them to install one. That’s because Seer’s ability all centered on finding hidden enemies and dropping them.
Passive Seer’s ability is called a heart finder, and allows him to “hear and visualize the heartbeat of the closest enemy when targeting the scenery,” according to a new page for the Apex Legends website. While it has clear uses, it is not as if Seer can spend the entire match that targets the scene, because it will slow down the speed of his movements and make it a duck sit to take another enemy.
Tactical Seer’s ability, the focus of attention, gave rise to micro drones from his heart room, producing a delayed explosion that disturbed and revealed the enemy. This capability works even through walls too, so if you think the enemy helps the ally fall behind the cover, you might be able to use the focus of attention to delay them.
Finally, we have the main Seer capability, called the exhibition. With this ability, Seer uses his heart room to make a micro ball drone that tracks the location of the enemy who is running or firing their weapons. Of course, that means it will not work on players who are still standing, but can help you find enemies who are in the middle of the battle and do not expect exhibitions to use.
All in all, Seer sounds like he can be a competent character who can provide a lot of support to his team. We will see how well he does battle immediately because the season is launched on August 3.
