Amber Riley is known by millions of fans for their duties in the popular Glee series. He rose with stars playing Mercedes Jones talented. He was born with a strong vocal ability and there is no denying that took him to audition for American Idol. But the singer was rejected when he was 17 years old but fortunately his life would turn around for years later.
February 15, 1986 Amber Patrice Riley was born in Los Angeles California. He grew up in a middle class family as the only child. His mother Tiny Hightower was a registered nurse and his father Elwin Riley worked as a carpenter. Growing Amber to listen to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and will imitate their singing style while he sings for his family members during gratitude and Christmas meeting. At 7pm mother bought him a portable radio with a microphone attached. Riley brought everywhere with him, including to school in his backpack. He excelled academically at La Mirada High School who graduated in 2004 with a GPA of 3.9. But despite being accepted by NYU, USC and Arizona State Amber Riley lived in Los Angeles to pursue careers in acting or music.
When auditioning for parts in Hollywood, he felt very difficult. As an American African woman and size 16 was almost impossible for Riley to get acting work. The only role offered is to play the girl sitting in the corner and eating all day or girl who committed suicide. Amber has stated that he knows himself deserves and never wants to play a character who hates himself.
In 2006, Riley auditioned for the Effie White section in Dreamgirls, but was rejected because of his age. But surprisingly he sang the Dreamgirls song for the Audition of Glee in front of the Ryan Murphy producer. It worked and he made his debut in the pilot in 2009. Since then Riley has sang a lot of solo and his glee blankets have been sold in iTunes. In 2012 after three seasons on Glee, his character, Mercedes graduated and Riley went to do Broadway. He made a stage debut in 2012 at the Stage Production Cotton Club. Cotton Club Parade is a Broadway-style Revue celebrating the years of Duke Ellington at the famous Harlem nightclub in the 1920s and 30s.
In 2012 he began dating a co-star star Lamarcus Tinker which was also on Friday night.
In 2013 he was announced as the latest cast members from dancing with 17 star stars.
